They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Did You Know.....

Ancient Greeks and Romans would wear amethyst and even make their wine goblets out of amethyst because they believed that the stone would help prevent a state of "drunkenness" (I should remember this for St. Patty's Day!!!). Throughout history, it was also thought to be helpful in addiction recovery.  Amethyst was believed to have various healing purposes such as hearing disorders (I wonder if it would work on my husband then???).  One variation of Greek mythology was that, "Dionysus", the god of intoxication, and of wine, was pursuing a maiden named "Amethystos", who refused his affections. Amethystos prayed to the gods to remain virginal, a prayer which the goddess Artemis answered, turning her into a white stone. Humbled by Amethystos' desire to remain "innocent", Dionysus poured wine over the stone as an offering, dyeing the crystals purple.

***The amethyst geode shown in the picture on the right, is for sale. Please contact us directly for details!!
